Brighton wasted no time making their mark in the summer transfer window.
The sale of Jan Paul van Hecke to Tottenham in a deal worth £52million kickstarted a defensive reshuffle, which has since seen Adam Webster and Joel Veltman depart as free agents.
The latter was offered a new deal by Brighton but has opted to leave the club in search of a new challenge, rather than remaining at the Amex Stadium as a rotation option on a short-term deal.
Reinforcements have arrived in the shape of Michael Svoboda, Pascal Struijk and Costinha – with Lukas Vuskovic set to join the club from Tottenham for a club-record fee as well.
