Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Carlos Baleba from Brighton.
The Red Devils have secured the signature of their long-term target on a five-year deal, having reached an agreement with Brighton last week.
After seeing their opening proposal rejected, the deal was struck for a fixed fee of £65million, plus a further £5m in add-ons. The Seagulls also inserted a significant sell-on clause into the agreement.
Baleba joined Brighton from Lille in August 2023 for a fee in the region of £23m, and his development saw him tipped to be the club’s next £100m-plus sale.
