Brighton have officially announced the signing of defender Pascal Struijk from Leeds United.
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year contract on the Sussex coast, becoming the Seagulls’ second defensive signing after Portuguese right-back Costinha.
Whilst the fee is undisclosed, The Brighton Base understands that the deal is worth up to £18million, including add-ons.
Fabian Hurzeler has been keen to add experience to his squad after losing a core group of senior players already this summer, so bringing in the Whites’ former vice-captain will inject leadership qualities into his dressing room.
