The transfer window has been open for just under two weeks, but Brighton are already pushing for defensive reinforcements.
Adam Webster and Joel Veltman are set to depart as free agents this month, whilst Jan Paul Van Hecke has completed a £52million move to Tottenham, leaving the Seagulls with only five centre-backs at the club.
However, with Igor Julio and Eiran Cashin looking likely to move on, and Diego Coppola also being linked with an exit, Brighton could soon be left with Lewis Dunk and Olivier Boscagli as their only centre-back options.
They’ve already completed the signing of Olympiacos defender Costinha and are closing in on a deal for Venezia’s Michael Svoboda, having also lodged a series of bids for Tottenham prospect Luka Vuskovic.
