Brighton have been dealt an injury blow with just over a week until the Premier League campaign gets underway.

Yankuba Minteh is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury to his right leg during the Seagulls’ pre-season win over AS Roma.

The winger picked up the injury after a duel with Roma’s Bryan Cristante, requiring lengthy treatment at the Amex Stadium.

Minteh initially eased concerns by returning to the pitch. However, the extent of the problem soon came to light just moments later when he dropped to the ground with a look of despair on his face.
