Brighton have announced that youngster Yoon Do-young has joined German side Magdeburg on a season-long loan deal.

The forward endured a rollercoaster of a 2025/26 campaign. He struggled for minutes with Excelsior Rotterdam until the January transfer window, before being recalled and sent to fellow Dutch side Dordrecht.

Yoon made 15 appearances for Dirk Kuyt’s side, scoring once and registering three assists.

Nevertheless, Yoon gained plenty of experience at both clubs, having only been signed by Brighton during his second season of senior football with Daejeon Hana Citizen.
