Albion head coach Arturo Ruiz spoke to The Brighton Base ahead of the Seagulls’ Women’s Super League clash with Crystal Palace at the Broadfield Stadium this Sunday.

Albion currently sit ninth in the WSL table on eight points, having beaten West Ham 3-0 last Saturday at the Amex Stadium. Brighton also secured victory on Wednesday evening in the Subway Players’ Cup, defeating WSL 2 outfit Wolves 6-0 at the SEAH Stadium.

After two convincing performances, Brighton appear to be growing in confidence under Ruiz following a slow start to the campaign.

Asked whether he feels his squad are starting to truly understand his ideas, the Spaniard explained: “I hope that they started to learn it (my ideas) almost two months ago, but now we can say we are in a very good position, we are very strong.
