Brighton vs Manchester City: Three tactical battles that could decide where the game is won and lost on Saturday

Following their disappointing Carabao Cup exit, Brighton travel back to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday in search of revenge.

Amid what has already been a busy week for Brighton, things are set to get even busier, with the Albion returning to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to take on Enzo Maresca’s Manchester City again.

Having already faced the Citizens this past week, Fabian Hürzeler and Maresca should be familiar with their opponents’ intentions and methods, which should make for a tightly fought contest.

The circumstances are slightly different this time around, though. Brighton have several key players returning from injury, including Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer, Chema Andrés and Ferdi Kadıoğlu, while City were able to rest players such as Erling Haaland, Joško Gvardiol and Elliot Anderson in midweek.
