Brighton Women cruised to their second win in the Subway Players' Cup on Wednesday evening, putting Wolves to the sword with a comfortable 6-0 success at the SEAH Stadium.

Arturo Ruiz’s much-changed side made their intentions clear in the opening minutes, putting their WSL 2 opponents under pressure before Caitlin Hayes opened the scoring after just four minutes.

The defender nodded the ball over Wolves goalkeeper Alex Brooks and into the net following Marisa Olislager’s volley.

Hayes, Emilie Joramo and Taylor Warren all had chances to extend Albion’s lead, but Brighton had to wait until the 45th minute to double their advantage. Olaug Tvedten drifted in from the left before smashing a brilliant strike into the top corner from distance.
