Yasin Ayari provides brief response on Brighton future as speculation continues over midfielder's contract situation

The midfielder is in the final year of his contract with Brighton, leading to plenty of uncertainty over the summer, especially with several European sides casting their eye over his situation.

However, it has since emerged that Ayari does have a one-year option in his deal at the Amex Stadium, something all parties sought to keep under wraps. Thus, there is no immediate risk of the ex-AIK star departing as a free agent at the end of the season.

Nevertheless, questions remain over Ayari’s situation. As revealed by The Brighton Base over the summer, he has been offered a new deal by the Seagulls, and talks are ongoing.
