Fabian Hurzeler hopes that Yasin Ayari will remain at Brighton for a ‘longer time’, but it remains unclear whether the German’s wishes will come true.
The Sweden international is in the final year of his contract with the Seagulls, though it has emerged that the midfielder has a one-year option in his contract which can be activated by the club.
There was a concerted effort throughout the summer from all parties to keep said clause under wraps, but The Brighton Base did reveal that Ayari had been offered a new deal.
Last month, we reported that a new contract was on the table for the ex-AIK star, and talks are still ongoing over a renewal.
