Although there is no immediate cause for concern, Amario Cozier-Duberry’s situation is one that Brighton are hoping to resolve sooner rather than later.

The winger enjoyed a sensational campaign out on loan with Bolton Wanderers last season, scoring 10 goals and registering 10 assists in 41 appearances to guide the club back to the Championship via the play-offs.

The 21-year-old’s performances did not go unnoticed around Europe, with a host of teams making checks on his situation before the season even drew to a close.

Throughout this period, Brighton made it clear to suitors that Cozier-Duberry featured in their long-term plans and that he would be returning to the Sussex coast at the end of the campaign. However, they also wanted to signal their intent by tying the ex-Arsenal academy graduate down to a new contract.
