Luka Vušković has opened up on why he chose to join Brighton, despite interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer.
The defender joined the Seagulls earlier this week for a total package worth £50million, with Brighton set to pay £46m as a fixed fee, plus a further £4m in add-ons.
Tottenham also negotiated a 20% sell-on clause and matching rights on any further sale.
Vušković has signed a five-year contract with Fabian Hurzeler’s side, with the option for a further year, and believes a move to the Sussex coast offers the ideal environment for the next stage of his development.
