Brighton star Igor has revealed that Joao Pedro has already asked to leave the Seagulls this summer. The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move away from the Amex in recent weeks, with Newcastle and Chelsea among his admirers.

The forward quickly established himself as a key player for Brighton after his arrival in 2023, scoring 30 goals in 70 games. But after a red card away at Brentford and a reported heated confrontation with fan favourite Jan Paul Van Hecke, his time on the south coast looks all but over.

The 23-year-old still has three years left on his contract, but he has already made the decision to leave this summer, and the club are already aware of his intentions, according to his teammate and fellow countryman Igor.
