Fabian Hurzeler has confirmed that Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh and Mats Wieffer remain sidelined through injury ahead of Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace.

Wingers Mitoma and Minteh are yet to make a competitive appearance for the Seagulls this season, with Wieffer having featured twice in the Premier League.

The Dutchman’s most recent appearance came against Chelsea, when the versatile defender twisted his knee after being knocked off balance by a shot that struck him in the face.

Asked about the trio ahead of facing Palace, Hurzeler said: “Definitely for the next games, they might be options, especially with Minteh and Mats Wieffer, I think we see quite a quick return.
