Brighton have reportedly rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for Yasin Ayari.

The midfielder has established himself as a key player for the Seagulls over the past few seasons, with the Sweden international making 23 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring three and providing one assist.

Ayari was the subject of interest from several European outfits last summer, and now there is growing admiration for the 22-year-old from within the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, Forest have seen a £20million bid knocked back by Brighton for the playmaker. Sean Dyche’s side are now weighing up whether to submit a renewed offer or put their pursuit on pause for the foreseeable future.
