Brighton are reportedly monitoring the progress being made by Wolfsberger AC’s Nik Polster.
The 23-year-old has quickly emerged as one of the brightest young goalkeepers in Europe over the past 18 months, winning the Best Goalkeeper award in the Austrian Bundesliga last season after a sensational campaign.
Polster is now setting his sights on the World Cup, and he hopes to push Salzburg’s Alexander Schlager for the starting spot between the sticks for Austria. He is yet to make his debut for his national team but has been named in their last few matchday squads.
It is not just Austria manager Ralf Rangnick who appears to have been keeping a close eye on Polster though.
