Kyle Walker-Peters’ contract with Southampton expired on June 30, with the right-back now occupying the precarious position of being a free agent. A reliable figure with 33 Premier League appearances last season, the 28-year old has reportedly attracted several suitors, with the Seagulls perhaps looking to reignite their interest.

Walker-Peters recorded seven goals and twelve assists during his five-and-a-half years of adorning the red and white stripes, demonstrating his ability to play in the midfield and contribute to proceedings in the final third whilst remaining strong defensively. His dynamism has proved an attractive quality to the Albion in the past, with the reports last month suggesting that Brighton are strong admirers of the full-back.
