Brighton will reportedly need to increase their offer significantly if they are to secure the signature of FC Köln star Said El Mala.
The Seagulls were heavily linked with making a move for the forward over the summer, before he had even made his debut for the Bundesliga outfit. However, that leap of faith now appears to have been justified by the player himself.
El Mala has started the season in flying form, scoring twice and registering one assist in seven appearances in all competitions – earning plenty of praise from his manager Lukas Kwasniok.
The winger’s exciting displays have also caught the eye of top clubs around Europe, and FC Köln have already made their stance on his exit clear: they are only willing to allow him to depart for a significant fee.
