AS Roma are reportedly pursuing Brighton transfer target Wesley Franca, and also hold an interest in Seagulls midfielder Matt O’Riley. While the latter has spoken about how he was unhappy with his lack of minutes in the No. 8 role last season, the Italian giants’ advancements for Wesley will be of more concern on the south coast.

O’Riley has attracted several Premier League and Serie A suitors following his 21 league appearances for the Seagulls last season, with Sky Sports reporting that Napoli had made a £25.6million bid for the 24-year-old. While Brighton do not appear to have accepted the proposal and still value the midfielder as an important part of their project, Fabian Hurzeler’s side are also willing to consider offers which meet their internal valuation.
