Brighton reportedly made a late move for Atalanta youngster Relja Obric in the summer transfer window, but their deadline day bid for the defender was instantly knocked back.
Fabian Hurzeler orchestrated a major reshuffle of his backline before the new season got underway, with a number of fresh faces arriving to replace the likes of Pervis Estupinan, Igor Julio and Eiran Cashin.
However, it has now emerged that the Seagulls were in the market for another defender late in the window. Gazzetta dello Sport report that Brighton tabled an offer for Atalanta prospect Obric on deadline day, but the bid was rejected as the Italian outfit believe that he is ‘untouchable’.
