Brighton are known for signing young South American talents for minimal fees, turning them into world-class players and making a serious profit on them. And it looks like the Seagulls have found their next ‘Moneyball’ signing in Vasco da Gama forward Rayan.

Rayan is an 18-year-old Brazilian attacker who has been in and around the Vasco first team since 2023. He’s played 84 games for the Brazilian Serie A side and scored 15 goals. Twelve of those goals came in his breakout season this year, where he scored seven in the league, four in the cup and one in the Sudamericana.

Rayan’s impressive record has caught the eye of numerous suitors, both in the Premier League and elsewhere in Europe.
