Brighton have reportedly shortlisted Palmeiras star Allan Elias as a potential target ahead of the January transfer window.

The Seagulls look set to be in the market for a midfielder next summer, with Carlos Baleba attracting interest from Manchester United, as well as several other Premier League outfits.

Owner Tony Bloom has always looked to be one step ahead when it comes to succession planning, and thus replacements will be coming under consideration for the Cameroon international already, with Fenerbahce’s Ismail Yuksek linked.

According to ESPN Brazil, Palmeiras’ Allan is also being scouted by Brighton following his impressive breakthrough campaign. The playmaker has made 46 appearances for Abel Ferreira’s side so far this year, scoring twice and registering five assists.
