Charlton manager Nathan Jones has spoken out on Brighton’s pursuit of striker Micah Mbick, with the Premier League side reportedly still hoping to get a deal over the line before Monday’s deadline.
It was reported last week that the Albion have had two bids rejected for the 19-year-old, with the latest worth £3.5million, which falls short of the Addicks’ valuation. However, the Seagulls are said to be considering a third offer before the window closes.
The English teenager is currently on loan at League Two’s Colchester United, where he has netted nine times and provided two assists in 23 games. His most recent goal came last weekend in his side’s 2-1 win over Fleetwood Town.
