Brighton are reportedly willing to let Danish midfielder Matt O’Riley leave on a permanent deal having made just 25 appearances for the club since joining in the summer of 2024.

The 25-year-old joined Ligue 1 side Marseille on loan in the summer, and so far he’s enjoyed a good season, playing 16 games, scoring one goal and picking up two assists, whilst impressing sporting director Medhi Benatia.

According to Football Insider, O’Riley is ‘happy’ at Marseille and ready to complete a permanent move to Roberto De Zerbi’s side. It’s said that with the midfielder so evidently enjoying playing in the south of France, the Seagulls will not ‘get in the way’ of a sale if an appropriate offer arrives.
