Brighton eye ex-Real Madrid star though rival interest may please Fabian Hurzeler

Brighton are reportedly among a host of clubs ‘closely watching’ Lazio star Mario Gila ahead of the January transfer window.
The Seagulls shook up their defensive ranks over the summer, with centre-backs Diego Coppola and Olivier Boscagli arriving at the Amex Stadium to replace Eiran Cashin and Igor Julio – who were both loaned out.
But Brighton’s overhaul of their backline does not appear to be complete. According to TBR Football, Fabian Hurzeler’s side are keen to sign Lazio’s Gila, having been impressed by his performances in the Serie A.
The former Real Madrid star has started every match so far this season under ex-Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, and his performances have caught the eye of a number of Premier League outfits.
