Swansea City manager Alan Sheehan has opened up on how he is excited to work with Brighton star Malick Yalcouye this season.

As exclusively revealed by The Brighton Base, the midfielder is set to join the Championship outfit on a season-long loan after travelling to the club yesterday (Tuesday). He then watched his soon-to-be teammates battle to a 3-1 win over Crawley Town in the EFL Cup that evening.

Yalcouye was spotted arriving ahead of kick-off, prompting Sheehan to confirm that they are hopeful of registering the signing of the 19-year-old as soon as possible.

He told Wales Online: “Hopefully we close that tomorrow (Wednesday). We're delighted to have him in the building, he's a player that will improve us. A player with so much energy, and so highly-rated.
