Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Joao Pedro this summer, with Enzo Maresca’s side beating Newcastle in the race to secure his signature.
According to Ben Jacobs, a deal worth £55million plus £5m add-ons has been agreed for the Brighton star to head to Stamford Bridge this summer. A sell-on clause has also been included in the deal.
The striker will leave the Amex Stadium outfit and put pen to paper on a seven-year deal with the Blues after two seasons of adorning the blue and white stripes, during which he made a total of 58 appearances.
The ex-Watford star’s medical is set to take place early next week before he joins up with his new teammates in the United States to take part in the remainder of the FIFA Club World.
