Over the past few weeks, it’s been heavily reported that Newcastle United are seriously interested in Brighton forward Joao Pedro. Personal terms are said to be unlikely to be a problem and that club-to-club talks are already taking place for a deal worth around £70m.

However, it has now emerged that Chelsea have the 23-year-old on their summer shortlist, and after Igor’s recent comments, Newcastle could be in danger of missing out. 

The London club often attempt to bring transfer fees down by offering players in deals, which Brighton may be open to as they look to further strengthen their squad and hopes of European football. So, who are five players who could tempt the Seagulls into accepting less cash…
