Brighton attacker Jeremy Sarmiento faces an uncertain future on the south coast, and it has been reported that he has interest from a host of clubs this summer, including some from his home continent.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at newly-promoted Burnley, where he played 37 games and scored four Championship goals. Since his return, the versatile playmaker featured in the Seagulls’ 6-1 pre-season win against Wycombe, but he looks to be out of Fabian Hurzeler’s plans as he wasn’t part of the German boss’ squad for his side’s recent training camp.

According to Itatiaia Esporte, Brazilian side Cruzeiro are looking to bring in another attacker, and Sarmiento is one of their targets. The Ecuadorian is said to fit their recruitment profile as they are looking for young players who can become valuable assets in the future.
