Jason Ayto is keen to hit the ground running at the Amex Stadium, and the new Brighton sporting director is reportedly set to bring some Arsenal transfer targets to the table as he goes in search of making a positive impression in the market.

The Seagulls acted swiftly to secure the services of Ayto from under Newcastle’s nose earlier this week, having been impressed by his rise through the ranks with the Gunners – which saw serve as Arsenal’s interim sporting director last season after Edu left the club.

Ayto will now oversee Brighton’s recruitment, and the 40-year-old appears to be drawing up some ambitious plans.
