Brighton are reportedly expected to reject the chance to sign Jadon Sancho, among other Manchester United outcasts, as part of a deal for Carlos Baleba.
The Red Devils have shortlisted the midfielder as one of their top targets for the remainder of the summer transfer window, with Ruben Amorim pushing to acquire his services and add the Cameroon international to his ranks.
However, Brighton have no interest in parting ways with Baleba and have ruled a sale next summer as the likeliest outcome, with other top clubs around Europe monitoring the progress of their new No. 17 closely.
Nevertheless, The Independent reports that United are still keen to make a push for Baleba to try and test the Seagulls’ resolve. The higher powers at Old Trafford are now ‘figuring out how to construct a payment package’ which will meet Brighton’s valuation of the 21-year-old, believed to be in the region of £120million.
