Brighton are reportedly one of five Premier League clubs to have been approached by Harvey Elliott’s agents.
The midfielder has endured a tough season so far after joining Aston Villa on a loan-to-buy deal over the summer.
However, Unai Emery soon ruled that he would not have a future at Villa Park, which has seen him omitted from countless matchday squads to ensure that the £35million buyout clause in the deal would not be activated.
Elliott has therefore played just 110 minutes of Premier League football this campaign, and featured four times in the Europa League – where his appearances do not count towards the 10-game threshold which would activate the obligation.
