Fabian Hurzeler has addressed speculation linking Brighton youngster Harry Howell with a move away from the club.
Bayer Leverkusen are said to be keen to acquire the services of the forward in the summer transfer window, with talks already underway to discuss a deal. Other German clubs are also keen, but Leverkusen’s interest is ‘most concrete’.
Despite the links, Hurzeler has revealed that he expects Howell to be a ‘big player’ for the Seagulls, both in the short term and long term, and how he has held talks with both the player and his representative about the future.
Speaking ahead of Brighton’s clash with Arsenal, the ex-St Pauli boss told The Argus: "We had an open exchange with him and his agent. I think the rumours are just noise. He is back in our environment now.
