Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has spoken about the transfer window so far and revealed that he and the club are now anticipating some departures following the arrival of six new signings.
The Seagulls have spent over £50million since the summer window opened on June 1, bringing in South Korean wonderkid Yoon Do-young, French defender Olivier Boscagli, Hellas Verona’s Diego Coppola, record-breaking Charalampos Kostoulas and Sunderland play-off hero Tommy Watson. January signing Stefanos Tzimas will also be joining up with the squad for the first time following his loan at Nurnberg.
In the outgoings departure, Joao Pedro has been sold to Chelsea for £55m plus £5m add-ons, Valentin Barco has completed a permanent £10m move to Strasbourg due to the obligation to buy clause in his loan deal and James Beadle has gone on loan to newly-promoted Championship side Birmingham.
