Brighton have received a major boost in their bid to sign OGC Nice striker Evann Guessand, who appears almost certain to leave the French side this summer. The striker impressed last season, scoring 12 goals and registering nine assists across 33 league matches to assert himself as Nice’s top goalscorer and provider.
Joao Pedro claimed the same two titles with Brighton for his 10 goals and six assists in the Premier League last season as well, and his performances did not go unnoticed around Europe. The forward is attracting an abundance of suitors in what could soon descend into a bidding war, and as Pedro’s potential departure looms, Guessand has reportedly been identified as the Brazilian’s quite apt replacement.
