Birmingham City are leading the race to sign Brighton’s Eiran Cashin on loan, The Brighton Base can reveal.
The defender has been the subject of enquiries from Premier League, Championship and European outfits since the summer transfer window opened, and Birmingham are now pushing to strike an agreement to sign the centre-back.
Talks are ongoing with Brighton over a season-long deal with no buyout option.
Cashin joined the Seagulls in the January transfer window earlier this year from Derby in a deal worth £9million, plus £3m in potential add-ons. The signing put an end to Brighton’s lengthy pursuit of the 23-year-old, which dates back to 2023.
