Brighton are reportedly among four clubs battling it out to sign Dundalk youngster Vinnie Leonard.
The centre-back is regarded as one of the brightest talents to emerge out of Ireland over the past few years, and his performances over the past 12 months have not gone unnoticed.
Leonard played a starring role in Dundalk’s promotion-winning campaign last season, making 34 appearances and chipping in with three goals and two assists.
After some strong displays for Ireland Under-17s at the World Cup late last year, Dundalk began to brace themselves for approaches for their talented teen, and they are now starting to field enquiries.
