Brighton are renowned for signing young players and developing them into some of the Premier League’s best talents.
In previous seasons, those players have largely been South American, such as Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister, but over the last 12 months, the Seagulls’ focus seems to have shifted closer to home, and they look to have found another European starlet in Djylian N’Guessan.
The 17-year-old French striker from Saint-Étienne, who has already played eight Ligue 1 games and starred at the U20 World Cup, helping France to a respectable fourth placed finish.
Brighton have spent £180million on attacking reinforcements across the last two summers, bringing in the likes of club record signing Georginio Rutter, Yankuba Minteh, Brajan Gruda, and youngsters Stefanos Tzimas, Ibrahim Osamn, Charalampos Kostoulas, Tommy Watson, Amario Cozier-Duberry and Yoon Do-young.
