Brighton are reportedly preparing a fourth bid for Botafogo star Cuiabano, who is currently battling it out at the Club World Cup. The Seagulls aren’t alone in their interest though and are continuing to face off with Nottingham Forest to secure his signature.
According to The Mirror, Brighton have already had three bids rejected for the Brazilian and are expected to table a fourth, but Forest remain keen after already agreeing deals for two of his club teammates.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side may have the upper hand in negotiations after securing European football next season, but Brighton are refusing to give up on signing the defender, despite their latest bid of £7.7million including add-ons being rejected.
