Brighton’s Carlos Baleba was one the summer’s biggest transfer sagas, with Manchester United reportedly making a late push to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford.
A move did not materialise though due to the Seagulls’ huge asking price, but renewed interest in 2026 seemed almost certain. However, that may not be the case, with the Red Devils now having second thoughts following the youngster’s first eight games of the season.
The Cameroonian missed much of pre-season, and his lack of fitness and sharpness combined with the talk surrounding him has seriously impacted his performances.
