Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen has been linked with a move away to Tottenham in recent days, but the Seagulls have made it clear that they want to keep him.
The Dutch shot-stopper is hugely admired by Thomas Frank, and he’s been identified by last season’s Europe League winners as a potential goalkeeper target to replace Guglielmo Vicario and further upgrade their squad.
However, they are expected to face a lot of competition from Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona, as well as many other top clubs who have already been watching him closely.
According to TEAMtalk, Albion are insistent that they want to keep their No.1 for the foreseeable future, but at the same time, they realise internally that it may be very difficult to do so beyond this season.
