Brighton have reportedly been handed a blow in their pursuit of Barcelona wonderkid Roony Bardghji as he seeks more minutes with the Spanish giants.

The Camp Nou outfit signed the Swede from FC Copenhagen in the summer for a cut-price fee of just over £1million, but so far this season he’s played just 341 minutes across 13 games, with his only two La Liga goal contributions coming in a 5-3 win against Real Betis.

He also registered an assist in the Champions League when lining up against Brighton-linked Christos Mouzakitis’ Olympiacos, although he has been limited to just 23 minutes on the European stage.
