A trio of La Liga clubs have ‘moved’ for Brighton transfer target Azzedine Ounahi, amid advanced talks to bring the Marseille midfielder to the south coast. The 25-year-old appears to have no future with the Ligue 1 outfit, and several suitors are now hoping to aid the star’s progression.
With former Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi making it evident that Ounahi is not in his long-term plans at Marseille, the Seagulls made their swoop for the playmaker in early June. A verbal agreement was said to have been put in place for a four-year contract, as per Foot Mercato.
However, ESPN have since revealed that the deal is yet to be finalised, indicating that La Liga clubs such as Alaves, Levante and Sevilla have also made their interest in the Moroccan known. This will be a significant blow to Brighton, as the side would have hoped the playmaker would put pen to paper with the club sooner rather than later before his asking price rises.
