Brighton have reportedly decided that they will push to sign Aston Villa’s Lamare Bogarde in the January transfer window.
The Seagulls look set to be in the market for at least one midfield reinforcement next month as part of their succession planning for the likely departure of Carlos Baleba, who has admirers at Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Brighton do not want to sell the Cameroon international next month but they are not ruling out a summer exit, though the higher powers at the Amex Stadium appear keen to bring in his future replacement sooner rather than later regardless.
According to Football Insider, Fabian Hurzeler’s side believe that Bogarde is a ‘big talent’ and they feel that he has the potential to play regularly in the Premier League.
