Brighton are considered to have one of the best academies in England, and when a player moves on, may that be permanently or on loan, or joins up with the first team, they are usually very quick to bring in a replacement.

The Seagulls appear to be on the cusp of injecting further quality into their current set-up, with the club set to win the race for Middlesbrough midfield twins Anton and Bailey Palmer.

The brothers are both 16 years old and play as central midfielders, which is an area Brighton are somewhat light in their first team and academy squads - and they could become even lighter with it looking extremely likely that Carlos Baleba departs next summer.

According to The Secret Scout, Brighton are set to complete the signing of twins, Anton and Bailey Palmer from Middlesbrough.

The twins have since released a joint statement on their respective Instagram accounts confirming that they will be leaving Boro, though not confirming that the Amex Stadium is their destination.
