Brighton have reportedly entered the race for Swiss defender Albian Hajdari, but they are not alone in their interest, with several other top English and European clubs also eyeing the 22-year-old.

The centre-back played 40 games for Lugano last season, scoring two goals, and quickly catching the eye with his impressive performances. Hajdari initially joined the Swiss club on loan from Italian giants Juventus in 2022 before securing a £640k permanent move in April 2023.

According to Bild, the Seagulls are in the picture to sign the defender along with fellow south coast side Bournemouth and German outfit Werder Bremen. The Cherries are looking to rebuild their backline with Ukrainian Illia Zabarnyi under serious interest from PSG and star player Dean Huijsen already securing a dream £50million move to Real Madrid.
