Brighton have reportedly opened talks with youngster Harry Howell over a new contract.

The winger broke into the Seagulls’ first team last season, making six appearances in all competitions, scoring once and registering two assists in the EFL Cup. He also made three Premier League appearances, which included a start against rivals Crystal Palace.

Howell signed his first professional deal with Brighton last summer, which expires in 2028.

The Athletic report that the Seagulls are now looking to tie the 18-year-old down to a new long-term contract, and negotiations are ongoing over what that agreement could look like.
