South Korean wonderkid Yoon Do-young was seen in tears at the end of his final game for Daejeon Hana Citizen, the club he joined at the age of 12, before heading to Brighton. The winger is expected to leave the Seagulls on loan this summer.

The 18-year-old had many suitors, such as Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Wolves, in the January transfer window, but Brighton pounced to secure his signature in March for a fee of just under £2million.

Yoon has been absent for Daejeon Hana Citizen’s recent matches but returned to the squad for his side’s home game against Gimcheon Sangmu. He started but was subbed off after only 32 minutes - though early substitutions are quite common in South Korea as rules are in place which force clubs to field younger players.
