Brighton unveil plans for UK's first purpose-built women’s stadium next to the Amex

Brighton have unveiled their plans for Europe’s first purpose-built women’s stadium.
Once built, it will become one of only three stadiums in the world to have such grounds, along with American sides Kansas City Current and Denver Summit.
The venue is expected to have a capacity of at least 10,000 and will be built on Bennett’s Field, next to the Amex Stadium. The two grounds will also be physically connected via a new bridge link.
The women’s stadium being built in such close proximity to the Amex allows the club to use their existing facilities at Falmer, such as the ticket office and club shop. The sloping nature of the Bennett's Field will, however, allow for a new underground car park to be built.
